[ about risk levels ]
In Dec 2025, losses of separation were reported in the TNCF/Curacao FIR involving civilian aircraft and military traffic. Incidents occurred near TNCC/Curacao airspace during climb and in the terminal area, prompting urgent ATC intervention. The events follow increased US military activity in the southern Caribbean linked to operations near Venezuela.
The primary risks include unidentified military aircraft not squawking, limited ATC visibility, and unpredictable traffic in the terminal airspace around TNCA/Aruba, TNCC/Curacao and TNCB/Bonaire.
