Cambodia and Thailand agreed to a ceasefire starting 28 July 2025, following five days of intense fighting along their shared border. Both sides have committed to reopening communication lines and setting up a monitoring mechanism to maintain the truce. While this is a major step toward de-escalation, the situation remains fragile - caution is still advised near the border region. Overflights may face elevate risk from unannounced military activity including air defence activation, live firing and GPS interference. Avoid the use of north/southbound airways R345 and Y2 which pass through the danger area.
