19 Jan 2026: The FAA has issued new “exercise caution” KICZ Notams plus a Background Note covering Pacific overwater portions of several FIRs - MHTG/Cenamer, MMFR/Mexico, MMFO/Mazatlan Oceanic, MPZL/Panama, SKED/Bogota, SEFG/Guayaquil, plus part of the unassigned eastern Pacific (XX01).
There are no specific routing bans, but the warnings cite intermittent GPS interference and ongoing military activity, including aircraft possibly operating without transponders, with risk at all altitudes including arrivals and departures.
